SOUTH BANK 2017 AGM
Dear South Bank Members and Associate Members,
South Bank Ramblers’ AGM will be held on Saturday 25th November 2017 at St Faith’s Community Hall, Red Post Hill, North Dulwich SE24 9JQ (Buses P4, 37,42, 68 or 468 stop nearby and North Dulwich and Herne Hill rail stations are close.)
A light lunch (for which there will be a voluntary donation of a suggested £5) will be available at about 1:15pm and the business meeting will start at 2:00pm.
As in the past, the meeting will follow an optional local walk. (See current Walks Programme for details.)
This is very much a friendly social event where we have a chance to meet and talk informally. In addition, the Committee is always keen to receive feedback on the activities and running of the Group. Over lunch members will be encouraged to discuss any suggestions for priorities for the Group, favorite walks, and ways to bring in new members and walk leaders. There will also be a short fun quiz.
We will be collecting old boots and sturdy shoes for recycling (Boots for Africa), so have a clean out and bring them along!
Most important is our election of Officers and Committee members:
In order to ensure a healthy turnover on the Committee, the key officer posts should normally be held for only three consecutive years. The Agenda lists those officers who are willing to remain in post, are on the committee and, or have already been nominated. In order to keep the Group “refreshed” we are keen for new people to join the Committee. This can be with or without holding a formal position. We normally meet three Tuesday evenings a year in the Herne Hill or Dulwich area, but communicate a fair amount between meetings.
The Finalised Agenda will soon be on the website. Some copies will be available on the day but, if possible, please print them out and bring them with you to the meeting.
Even if you can’t join the walk or lunch, we still hope to see you there at 2:00pm.
Very best wishes. The South Bank Committee
