South Bank Ramblers

Sat 7 June - HISTORIC COASTAL RYE CIRCULAR VIA CAMBER SANDS - Roger B

A mainly flat coastal walk from the historic Cinque Port town of Rye with its cobbled, twisty streets, along the River Rother to the sea at Camber Sands. At low tide Camber beach is 650 yards wide lined by magnificent sand dunes. After lunch back to Rye through grassy meadows, the southern most part of Romney Marsh, visiting the unusual 'barn church' of E Guldeford on the way. Note: The section along Camber Sands beach (about a mile) is entirely on sand.
