Sat 05 September 2026 - ST. MARGARETS CIRCULAR - Maeve K
Escape the metropolis as we venture into the rural heart of East Hertfordshire on this moderately paced walk. The route takes us along ancient tracks and green lanes in quiet rolling country side. After St. Margarets and Stanstead Abbotts on our outward journey, we pass through vast fields, along wide tracks with extensive views of the area, through woods, quiet lanes, farm tracks and by the banks of the Ash, Rib and Lea Rivers. The final part of the walk is alongside the Lea Navigation, Amwell Nature Reserve and Stanstead Lock before finishing at St. Margarets Station. The walk terrain includes gentle undulations and stretches of level ground. One stile and one level crossing
