Saturday 19 SEP 2026 - HOLMWOOD CIRCULAR VIA LEITH HILL - Liz C

A walk in the Surrey hills from Holmwood station through woods and farmland, with a lunch stop at Leith Hill Tower to admire the views.  There are quite a few hills, as you would expect, and some stiles.  Poles may be useful for the hills, if you have them.   Train:  9.41 from London Victoria, 9.48 Clapham Junction, 10.13 Sutton, arr 10.47 Holmwood (Horsham train).  Meet on platform 2 by the steps going up to the bridge. Lunch:  picnic lunch.  Kiosk at Leith Hill should be open for drinks and cakes. Toilets:  use toilets on the train.  No facilities on the walk, but there are plenty of trees. 8.5 Liz Cleary
