Wed 17 April 2019 - 10.6 miles - INTO THE WOODS: BROXBOURNE TO BAYFORD - Leader: mark B

The walk goes through some farmland and the woods managed by Hertfordshire and the Woodland Trust west of Hoddesdon with National Nature Reserve/SSSI designations.Route: New River - Hoddesdon – Hoddesdon Park Wood - Spital Brook – Hertfordshire Way – Broxbourne Woods (north then south of White Stubbs Lane) – Bencroft Wood – Pembridge Lane Farm – Cowheath Wood – Brickendon – Bayford Station.There will be an opportunity to see the sculptures in Broxbourne Wood and hopefully some spring flowers. Gentle climbs and descents apart from one wood where the slopes have some steps. It may be muddy/slippery in places.
