The National Garden Scheme opens private gardens for charity.A walk over undulating countryside, heading south to Hill Hoath and through the woods to Chiddingstone Hoath. We visit Stonewall Park (NGS entrance £8, which includes tea), where we see rhododendrons, bluebells, azaleas and a range of interesting trees and shrubs. May be muddy. Return northwards to Penshurst Station.The next NGS walk is on Sun 9 June. Lunch: Picnic lunch only at Chiddingstone Hoath.
