A walk through fields with estuary views from the ruins of Hadleigh Castle down to Leigh-on-Sea to explore this old fishing town and to have lunch in one of the many cafes and pubs. The walk along the coast to Southend can be extended by two miles out to sea and back on the pier : pier train optional. Lunch: Picnic/ Fish and chips or cafe lunch in Leigh.
