South Bank Ramblers

Tue 10 September 2019 - 10 miles - KISSING GATE SPECIAL - HURST GREEN TO LINGFIELD - Leader: Gill F, Roger B

A walk through the East Surrey countryside between the North Downs & the Kent High Weald incorporating a visit to our new Kissing Gates at Broadham Green & Lingfield. There are many stiles. Lunch: Picnic only near the Royal Oak pub. This is one of the up market Grumpy Mole small chain of pub/restaurants. Not suitable for walkers lunches but we can have drinks etc in the small bar area.

Thanks go to Tony P  and Barbar B of the E. Surrey Walkers who, as members of their "Work Party" team had done the liaison with us, Surrey C.C. and the landowner and then also been part of the "Work Party" actually carrying out the installation of the kissing gates.

Tony P was with us today to talk about some of the work they had done.
