Tuesday, 20th July - HAMPSTEAD TO OXFORD CIRCUS - 6 miles - Leader: Hilary J
This is a fascinating walk through a green cityscape, beginning with a short loop around the “country village” of Hampstead and ending in Oxford Circus. Passing by Fenton House, a National Trust 17th-century house, 2 Willow Road a unique home designed in 1939 by ground-breaking modernist architect Ernö Goldfinger for himself and his family and Keats House where the poet John Keats lived from 1818 to 1820. We climb Primrose Hill for the views over London and visit the Inner Circle in Regent's Park. Finally walking down Marylebone Lane to Oxford Circus.
Plenty of drop out points and coffee shops.
Snack break at Primrose Hill (bring own coffee and snacks).
