Tuesday, 26 October 2021 - DORKING CIRCULAR (WEST) - SURREY HILLS AONB - 9 miles - Leader: Paul T

A beautiful walk in the Surrey Hills Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB). We will walk through Denbies Vineyard with one gentle climb, then follow the North Downs Way westwards. There will be wide-ranging views to Leith Hill, Box Hill and the Greensand ridge. After walking through woodland we will turn south across the valley and stop for a picnic lunch at Westcott, where there is a green space with benches. We will do a loop to the south and follow the Greensand Way for a while before returning to Dorking via Cotmandene.

Lunch: picnic lunch only at Westcott.

The tipper truck in Debbie’s vineyard trimmed back the vines, then tipped the trimmings into the pickup truck on the right.
