Wednesday, 19 January 2022 - GUILDFORD CIRCULAR (EAST) - 8 miles - Leader: Paul T
A highly scenic walk with a mixture of woodlands, field paths and walking beside rivers and streams. We will follow the North Downs Way eastwards via Shalford Park and Chantries Wood before ascending St. Marth's Hill. Our picnic lunch will be at the top, by the ancient church, with spectacular wide-ranging views to the south. After lunch we follow the Downs Link, then head westwards following watercourses, a vineyard and field paths before repeating the earlier part of the walk beside the River Wey and back to Guildford Station.
