Saturday, 19th February - DARENT VALLEY WALK: EYNSFORD TO OTFORD - 8 miles - Leader: Martin F
Starting out crossing the Darent river at Eynsford following the Darent Valley pathway some of the way to Otford. The walk route meanders off away from the river to walk through chestnut and beech woodland and to get views of the valley from the valley chalk ridges. Going 'up hill and down dale' will be muddy in wet winter weather and could challenge the pole sticks on occasions. There will be breaks for lunch but picnics are advisable due to the need to be out in circulating air due to pandemic measures should they arise in full. This winter walk has a drop off point halfway for Shoreham rail station back to London.
Lunch: Picnic but hot drinks or snacks might be available at Lullingstone Park visitor centre.
