Sat 30 April 2022 HAMSTREET CIRCULAR VIA WOODCHURCH - 10 miles - Leader: Ann C
A moderate paced walk through the 'Saxon shore' countryside rising gently above Romney Marsh. Mainly open fields with patches of woodland - big skies and long views. Brief stops at a couple of atmospheric churches, and option of a quick view of the Woodchurch windmill during lunch. Terrain is not difficult, though there are some longish upgrades, occasional brambly ditches, and the usual quota of decrepit stiles. Try to use loos on high speed train on way out. Lunch: Picnic or pub lunch (Bonny Cravat or Six Bells) at Woodchurch. Picnic in churchyard opposite pubs or on village green.
