Sunday, 8 May 2022 - WIMBLEDON TO PUTNEY ALONG THE BEVERLEY BROOK - 8 miles - Leader: Martin F

A walk across several south west London commons and a royal park, following the route of the Beverley Brook. We cross Wimbledon Common on the footpath through so-called Caesar’s Camp and pick up the Brook at the bottom. We walk to and through Richmond Park, and then on to Palewell and Barnes Commons. We reach the Thames near Putney Bridge. Can be muddy in parts; some road walking where the Brook goes underground. Toilets available at Wimbledon station (District line platform), at the far edge of Wimbledon common and in Richmond Park.
Lunch: Picnic
