Saturday, 18 June 2022 - COAST AND CULTURE; BIRCHINGTON-ON-SEA TO MARGATE - 4.5 miles - Leader: Gail B
An easy walk along the promenade and cliff tops to admire the seascapes that inspired Turner. Toilet and possible coffee stop en route. Some steps, up and down. Once in Margate you are free to visit the Turner Contemporary Gallery (please check their website https://turnercontemporary.org to check if pre-booking is required). There is a small but intriguing local museum; the Shell Grotto; many small shops and cafes and not forgetting Dreamland!
Lunch: Margate's many cafes, restaurants, pubs, and fish and chip shops, or bring a picnic.
