Sun 27 January 2019 - 3.5 miles - THE STEWS OF BANKSIDE - CHARING CROSS TO LONDON BRIDGE - Leader: Gail B
An easy walk through Embankment gardens to Waterloo Bridge, crossing the river to join the 'Low Line', a developing walking route between Waterloo and London bridge which utilises the arches of the railway viaduct.Several stops at points of interest - an old Thames watergate; a mad hatter's shop; the original Blackfriars station; an ancient burial ground and new developments including a brief visit to Jerwood Space Art Gallery. Lunch: Lots of places to eat and drink around Borough Market and London Bridge at the end of the walk.

An admonition to us all! (Photo: Gail)
