The National Garden Scheme opens private gardens for charity.An easy walk over undulating countryside, heading west to pass Roydon Hall. Good views. We join the Greensand Way to Nettlestead Green, then a short walk along the River Medway to reach Nettlestead Place, where we stop to visit the garden (NGS entrance £6) of a 13th century house with terraces, herbaceous borders, roses, acers and views. Return to the station along the River Medway.Next NGS walk is on Sat 6 July Lunch: Picnic lunch
