We will follow the beautiful Misbourne Valley and lunch in Chalfont St. Giles. Chance to see the cottage, now a museum, where John Milton completed Paradise Lost. Lunch: Bring a picnic or choice of pubs and cafes in Chalfont St. Giles.

We arrive at Old Amersham to complete the circuit, background is St Mary’s Old Amersham –where among others Ruth Ellis is buried, the last person to be hanged

 A final surprise.  The station is a mile up the hill through woods, so we catch our breath before heading for the train  home.
