South Bank Ramblers

Tue 27 August 2019 - 11 miles - MOODY & MAGNIFICENT MARSHES - TEYNHAM  - Leader: Hilary Pa

Mostly flat walk following Saxon Shore Way along the sea wall of The Swale, with views to the Isle of Sheppey. This wild and wonderful 5 mile stretch is rich in bird life and, in the Oare Marshes Nature Reserve, rare Konik horses may be grazing. Back to Teynham station via Oare Creek and village and then an inland route through orchards. NB: exposed to elements - sun, wind and rain! Lunch: Picnic only - on grass
