Tue 27 August 2019 - 11 miles - MOODY & MAGNIFICENT MARSHES - TEYNHAM - Leader: Hilary Pa
Mostly flat walk following Saxon Shore Way along the sea wall of The Swale, with views to the Isle of Sheppey. This wild and wonderful 5 mile stretch is rich in bird life and, in the Oare Marshes Nature Reserve, rare Konik horses may be grazing. Back to Teynham station via Oare Creek and village and then an inland route through orchards. NB: exposed to elements - sun, wind and rain! Lunch: Picnic only - on grass

Hilary outlines the coming walk

Out on the hot road
The hot sheep have sun spots
On the Swale Estuary
Out in the elements
Ramblers and twitchers
Sublime marshland
Low tide and sea grass
Rolling through Kentish fields
Ample orchards

All is safely gathered in
