Sat 31 August 2019 - 12 miles - 1066 & ALL THAT - BATTLE CIRCULAR - Leader: Caroline & Anthony

The 1066 County Path, picturesque Battle and its Abbey (SWC30) Lunch: A later Picnic/Pub lunch at Netherfield.

We set off from Battle Abbey

Some obstacles en route: group entangled amongst a herd of cattle

As forewarned by group leaders, lots of stiles, many not in good repair, so some improvisation needed

Paths overgrown, requiring a dab hand with the secateurs

Picnic lunch at Tent Hill just over 4 miles into the walk

With the chance to enhance with a little hunting and gathering

8 miles in, and a welcome drinks stop before the final 4 miles.;
