Wednesday, 7 July 2021 - THE DEEPDENE TRAIL - DORKING CIRCULAR VIA BROCKHAM - 10 miles - Leader: Nick W

A brisk walk through the former Deepdene Estate including an out-and-back walk to the ruined Betchworth castle and a view of the Hope Mausoleum, the only surviving building from the original 17th Century estate. There are a few hills at Glory Woods, before returning to the station via Cotmandene common. Toilets at Dorking (Main) station but no more unless you buy a drink at the pub at Brockham.

Lunch: picnic at Brockham, a pretty village with a village green, small cafe and pub.
