South Bank Ramblers

Wednesday, 28 July 2021 - KNOCKHOLT TO EYNSFORD VIA LULLINGSTONE'S LAVENDER FIELDS - 7.5 miles - Leader: Sue E

At a moderate pace with some undulation and a few stiles, but a lot on the flat. We go via Halstead, with views of Shoreham down to the Darenth Valley path. We then pass Lullingstone's lavender fields, castle and Roman Villa and continue uphill via the Bird of Prey Centre and on to Eynsford station. Note: there are easier and shorter return options from the Roman Villa, using easy to follow self-guided routes to return to Eynsford station.
Lunch: picnic/cafe at Lullingstone Visitor Centre.
