A pleasant, flat walk following the tidal Thames downstream from Richmond to Putney Bridge. On our way we will pass Old Deer Park, Syon House, Kew Gardens and Palace, and Hammersmith Bridge - if it’s still there!
Lunch: At Barnes after 6 miles. Cafés, pubs, or picnic at your own choice.
Toilets at Richmond station (downstairs at track level) and in Putney.
This is the first of three walks, which altogether will cover just over 30 miles of the Thames Path, from Staines to Putney. The other two walks will be on Wednesdays 22 and 29 September.
