This walk will pass all the new Crossrail stations and their entrances, which we hope will be open by then. En route we pass many sights in the City, West End, and Hyde Park, which those on Crossrail itself will miss.
Lunch: At the end of the walk: suggest cafés and shops at Paddington, or picnic in Hyde Park. Toilets en route at Lincoln's Inn Fields and in Hyde Park.

Copies of the 1991 Crossrail plan that Dick brought to show the group. It's changed a lot since 1991, but the basic issue of station locations was fixed, partly because you need to preserve a corridor between buildings with deep foundations. In some cases, new buildings are required to have basements designed around a future line.
