A moderate paced walk around Abney Park Walthamstow Wetlands and adjacent parks and marshland. Apart from a short street walk from Stoke Newington the walk is mainly on gravel and grass.  Walthamstow Wetlands is an internationally important nature reserve providing home and shelter to a wide range of waterfowl Walthamstow Wetlands contains a range of habitats and experiences from sheltered dense scrub-lined banks to wide windswept views towards the city. It is the largest fishery in London. It is part of the Walthamstow Reservoirs Site of Special Scientific Interest and the Lee Valley Special Protection Area. At this time of year there will be a lot of nesting activity and sight of some offspring. Possibly muddy in places with some steps to climb/descend.  Dogs are not permitted in the Wetlands.
