Walk Leader Training
The main Ramblers website offers a range of guidance, training courses and other useful information for walk leaders and other volunteers.
If you are a new walk leader, you will be required to complete the walk leader training courses before you can lead a South Bank walk. Even if you are an experienced walk leader, you will find these courses useful.
You can view tham by clicking on Walk Leader Courses.
In order to access the Ramblers training modules on their website, you need to have a My Ramblers Account.
If you don't already have one, you can create one by clicking on Create My Ramblers Account
Once you have an account, then just sign-in to the Ramblers website to view what is avaialable.

Click here to view Walk leader checklist - Ramblers Risk Assesment We recommend that, prior to leading your walk, you consider any risks that may be encountered. The Ramblers Risk Assesment Form has a list of points to consider.
This form can be downloaded here. - Introductory Talk at the start of the walk. When leading a South Bank walk, we suggest that you should give walkers an introductory talk giving an overview of what to expect on the walk. The SouthBank committee has developed a suggested template of what to include.
This form can be downloaded here. - Ramblers Incident Report Form. Accidents and other incidents may occur on a walk, the more serious of which may need to be reported to Ramblers. Therefore it is worth having a Ramblers Incident Report Form with you on the walk.
